How we work
Our reports are based on information from established news organisations and from public bodies. Before a story is published, the figures, names and quotations in it are checked against those sources, and quotations are reproduced exactly as they were given.
Each article names the organisations it draws on. Where facts are not yet confirmed, we say so. Where a matter is before the courts, we report it fairly and in line with contempt and reporting restrictions.
